The Light on the Hill
The Light on the Hill
MISSION MATTERS
To be the “Light On the Hill” and answer the call to serve in the name of Jesus, mission outreach is a must. CPC has many mission projects on the schedule but to grow we need to set our goals even higher. Through prayer, study of the Word and cooperation, exciting mission programs will become a reality.

MISSION IS ANNOUNCING AN EXCITING NEW LOCAL MISSION
Opportunities to read to children with the Carnegie Library Programs this summer are: Mondays at the Towers at 1:30pm; Thursdays at the Library at 1:30 for 1/2 hour followed by a craft; Fridays at 10:30am 1/2 hour followed by a craft; every other Friday at 1:00pm. Also, a 6 week Math Program is being offered on Wednesdays from 10:00am to 11:00am from June 22 to July 27. If you are interested in filling any of these slots, please contact Jane Sorchilla.
CPC is teaming with the Carnegie Library to bring Children’s Story Hour to the Library. The Librarian, Erin Tipping, has been wanting to start this project for a while but had no interested parties to help. We approached her and with her help we will begin this venture in January. Monday through Friday Children’s Story Hour will be available 3:00pm to 6:00pm or 4:00pm to 7:00pm in one hour increments for you to sign up. Saturdays will be available 10:00am to 1:00pm. Erin will get the children there, we just need to sign up and read to the children. How fun is that? There are sign up sheets available at the sound booth and whatever time slots are most popular are the ones we will go with. God has blessed us all with talents, reading being one, so wouldn't you like to use yours to help others in our own community? It takes no money just your time and energy and excitement. If you have any questions please see a member of the Mission Committee.
There is also a Mission Bulletin Board in the back of the sanctuary. Listed below are missions that we are actively participating in but there are many more possibilities. If you have questions or suggestions, contact Bob Sorchilla, or talk to any members of the Mission Committee. Take time to review a few of our Mission endeavors:
