CPC Cookbook
The Fellowship Committee has decided to hold a Cookbook Fundraiser! In order to do this, we need everyone’s help. We would love to have everyone’s favorite recipe, or maybe you may even want to share a secret family recipe? All kinds of recipes, breakfast, dinners, desserts, drinks, appetizers, cookies, anything you want to share we want! No date has been set on when this would be produced since we are just in the beginning stages, so please pull out your recipes and share! Here are a few ways to submit, you can bring them to church on Sunday and give to Dave Gerster, drop them off in the office, you can mail them to the church or you can email them to the CPC Office. Start going through your recipe files and send them in!

SCRIP PROGRAM: List of retailers
You can order Scrip online! Go to this website, shopwithscrip.com
and use the access code 8AD23DD725361 so the church gets the credit for the sale and then set up your account and place your order. The orders will go in when Jane places the church order. You can pay by check or sign up for “Presto Pay” and it will automatically be taken from your account. Another bonus to using Presto Pay is you will be able to reload your cards for any amount you choose and keep using them without waiting for a new card. This is a great opportunity and you can see for yourself we have over 500 retailers participating. We know all of this can be confusing, so please contact Jane Sorchilla with any questions. We are also accepting orders the old way through the order form in the bulletin. As always, thanks for you continued support of this fundraising effort!

FOR GOD SEW LOVED II is the new name for our quilting group. The originator of this wonderful outreach penned that name for her group and so, with her permission, we adopted the name and made us number II. We meet every Wednesday from 9:30am until 2:00pm, so bring your lunch as we have a bible study at lunch. There are lots of things to do whether you sew or not. Come and be a part of this exciting mission project. On Saturday, October
Pastor Kay Day who is serving in Malawi was presented with a sampling of the Little Dresses for Africa that our ladies helped the ladies from Mt. Pisgah make. She was SO excited and tearful as she expressed the joy the girls will have when they receive their dresses. She will send back pictures showing us that joy! She thanked all of our women who had a hand in creating them. A total of 209 dresses were made. The final goal is 1,000….so we have a lot more to do! Thank you to all who helped in this special project, it is appreciated!
PHONE RECYCLING: Please bring your old phones and home computer ink cartridges to church. We send them to a company that will give us money for them. This is a green way to get rid of them, green for the economy and green for us. There is a box by the sound booth.
MEALS ON WHEELS: The Meals on Wheels program in Carnegie is in dire need drivers, helpers and kitchen staff. If you could sign up for one day a week, or every other week it would help so much. Prayerfully consider this and call Candy at 412 279-5670.
FIRST SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH: Donate non-perishable food items or cash for local persons in need. Our contributions will be given to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Community Food Bank serving the Carnegie Area.
THIRD SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH: Contribute to the jars in the
narthex with your pennies for the 2¢ A MEAL HUNGER PROGRAM FOR MALAWI.
